Fran Healy - Wreckorder mp3 album

Francis "Fran" Healy (born 23 July 1973) is a British musician. He is the lead singer and main songwriter of the band Travis, having written nearly all of the songs on their first six studio albums, with the 8th being more of a co-written work. He is based in Berlin.

Let’s get the shock news out of the way first: a lot of this album does sound like Travis. Actually, you’d be mad to think that it wouldn’t, as the sound of that band is so intimately connected to Fran Healy, his mournful songs and plaintive wail. So for him to put together a new album on his own label, and sing them in that time-worn voice, well, it’s going to jangle the memory a bit. Even without Dougie camping it up, stage left. The question is whether sounding like Travis in this day and age is a prospect which fills you, the listener, with delight or despair.

Label: Wreckord Label ‎– HSE-60051.

The album is the work of a quintessential pop songwriter. Artists such as Chris Martin (Coldplay) and Noel Gallagher (Oasis) have cited Healy's sophisticated and atmospheric arrangements as a major influence on their own sound.

Francis "Fran" Healy is a Scottish rock musician. He is currently the lead singer and main songwriter of the Scottish band Travis, having written nearly all of the songs on their six studio albums. The album was recorded late in 2009 in Berlin and New York (and Berlin is where Fran currently lives), before being completed in Vermont early in 2010.

The album was released on 4 October 2010, on Healy's private label, WreckordLabel. The album was recorded in late 2009 in Berlin and New York, before being completed in Vermont in early 2010. It was produced by Emery Dobyns, with contributions from Paul McCartney, Neko Case and Noah and the Whale's Tom Hobden. The cover for the album was photographed by Tim Barber. I wanted to show that I was no longer the little boy that appeared on the inside sleeve of The Man Who. I did think about other images, but they just didn't feel right. This one looked particularly cool.
