Another Green World is the third studio album by English musician Brian Eno, released by Island Records in September 1975. Produced by Eno and Rhett Davies, it featured contributions from several guest musicians including Robert Fripp, Phil Collins and John Cale. The album marked a transition from the rock-based music of Eno's previous releases toward the minimalist sensibility of his late '70s ambient work

Released in 1975, Another Green World is the album from Eno’s discography that acts as a bridge between his career as a pop artist and his more recognizable and expansive work as the Godfather of Ambient Music. Eno assembled an odd, yet incredibly skilled group of musicians to play on this album, including, John Cale (formerly of the Velvet Underground at that time), Robert Fripp of King Crimson, and Phil Collins of Genesis. The first half of Another Green World is more uptempo, such as the quirky and iconic track Over Fire Island. But as the album progresses, it fades into a more delicate and atmospheric space, foreshadowing what’s next to come in Eno’s career ( Zawinul/Lava is actually played in the same key as 1/1 from Eno’s 1978 album Ambient 1/Music for Airports).

Brian Randolph Greene (born February 9, 1963) is an American theoretical physicist, mathematician, and string theorist. He has been a professor at Columbia University since 1996 and chairman of the World Science Festival since co-founding it in 2008. Greene has worked on mirror symmetry, relating two different Calabi–Yau manifolds (concretely, relating the conifold to one of its orbifolds).
