Roy Richards b/w The Brentford Disco Set - Natural Love b/w Natural Dub 7" single 1978 Coxsone Records, B-side to my previous post, see that for more information. Mor-Wells Esquire b/w Mor-Wells Unlimited - Come On Little Girl b/w Sky Ride 7" single 1974 Hot Shot! label, B-side to my previous post, see that for more information. The b-side has the top quality dub remix "Sky Ride" where legendary engineer Osbourne 'King Tubby' Ruddock uses his signature techniques of track drops, track solos, heavy reverb, delay, EQ manipulation, & more, especially take note of Fish's heavy kick drum.
The dub version of Horace Andy’s beautiful In the Light album was created by Prince Jammy. The meld of Andy’s distinctive high tenor over soundscapes put together by Jammy, Leroy Sibbles, and Augustus Pablo is just sublime. Kode9 & Spaceape – Memories of the Future (Hyperdub, 2006). Dubstep producer Kode9 (owner of the much lauded Hyperdub label) teams up with menacing vocalist The Spaceape (aka Massive Attack’s Daddy G) to unleash a shuddering bass-heavy vision. Tappa Zukie – In Dub (Blood & Fire reissue, 1995).
