The Johnston Brothers. The group was formed by Johnny Johnston (born John Harold Johnston, 10 July 1919 - 10 June 1998, London). He had formed a music publishing company, Michael Reine Music, in London in 1946, and was used by the BBC Light Programme radio channel as a singer and arranger. His first big success was to write and perform, with his vocal quartet The Keynotes, the theme to the successful comedy series Take It From Here in 1948. The Keynotes remained a popular singing group in the United Kingdom throughout the 1950s, winning several awards but having no hit records

31 March 2015 ·. Thanks for the kind words Katie McLean!! We hope to jam with you guys soon!! Katie McLean is with Katherine Chabot and 3 others. 31 March 2015 ·. 4 memories for 4 years in the last 4 days of our last semester. This was our first time meeting The Johnston Brothers, and was the beginning of a great friendship. Since then, we've made lots of great music with these guys, and meeting them opened us up to meeting so many other people, and singing in some cool spots. It's really special to us to be able to still play music with you guys almost 3 years later, and hopefully although some of us are scattered in different cities we will be able to get together again!
