Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness mp3 album
Morbid Angel is probably one of the biggest and most famous bands in the Death metal genre, their album sales are what you can call a small commercial success. Appreciated by a lot of extreme metal fans, you can probably find at least one of their records in every Death metal fan's collection and with what they've made in their career, they certainly deserve it. This is their debut full length. An enjoyable listen, but, with ups and downs. I like this sound a lot : It sounds very raw and this adds to the evilness that is Altars of Madness. That's a major advantage of the album, it's very evil. A big part in the evilness is carried by the vocalist; Morbid Angel has had quite a few vocalists, however I, and many other MA fans, think that David Vincent is clearly their best.
Complete your Morbid Angel collection. It was released on May 12, 1989 through Combat Records/Earache Records. The album was recorded in December 1988 at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, Florida. The album is one of the earliest examples of death metal and is considered to have helped pioneer the sound along with Possessed's Seven Churches in 1985 and Death's Scream Bloody Gore in 1987, and set a new precedent for heaviness and extremity, both musically and lyrically. It is one of the most celebrated albums in death metal history, and one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time.
Few albums struck a chord within the ears and minds of the late-'80s underground metal scene like Morbid Angel's Altars of Madness did at the end of the decade, setting a new precedent for metal bands to reach. With the arguable exception of Chuck Schuldiner's Death, never before had a heavy metal band carried their lightning-fast guitar riffs and equally spellbinding guitar solos into such horrific territory
Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness (1989).
Laugh at the tragedies, mock with disrespect Goats under rule of father time Leaches pass judgment on their fellow kind And die when their inner self goes astray Alas, I pay homage to the ancient ones, speak my name Raise the staff of the morbid priest Descend into the fires of the true law. Suffocating, evil smoke arise, cleansing the masses of iniquity Cauldrons blaze in sanctifying ritual Vile crematory burns my eyes.
