Debbie Reynolds - French Heels Lyrics. Doo-doo-wah, aah, doo-doo-wah, aah). All day long in my sloppy jeans I just walk like a putz But at night I put my French heels on And a teenage girl grows up. (wah). All day long I let my shirt tail hang As I go 'round about But at night I put my French heels on And a teenage girl steps out. (Oh, what a to do, oh, what a to do). Hot rod cars and trips to the shore Are marvellous, I suppose But these years would be such a bore Without a chance to pose in dress-up clothes. Growin' up takes a lot of time And I can't wait.
I hear the cottonwoods whisperin' above "Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love" The ole hooty-owl hooty-hoos to the dove "Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love". Does my lover feel what I feel When he comes near? My heart beats so joyfully You'd think that he could hear. Wish I knew if he knew what I'm dreamin' of "Tammy, Tammy, Tammy's in love"

Mary Frances "Debbie" Reynolds (April 1, 1932 – December 28, 2016) was an American actress, singer and businesswoman. Her career spanned almost 70 years. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her portrayal of Helen Kane in the 1950 film Three Little Words, and her breakout role was her first leading role, as Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain (1952).
Debbie Reynolds played the title role in the first Tammy film. This received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song a year after its release. It lost to "All the Way" (from The Joker Is Wild). Other artists who have covered this song include the Ames Brothers, Polly Bergen, Michael Feinstein, Jens Lekman, and Trini Lopez. Reynolds' version was later used in the 1998 comedy film The Big Lebowski. Berry Gordy, founder of Motown Records, wanted to call his label Tammy in honor of this record. However, that name was taken, and he was forced to amend the name to Tamla. This was the only US single by a female act between July 1956 and February 1958. More songs from Debbie Reynolds.
