That album was withdrawn, but Sebastian countered it with his own concert album, pointedly called Cheapo-Cheapo Productions Presents Real Live John Sebastian. Of course, both albums were a response to Sebastian's popularity as a solo concert attraction in the wake of his appearance in the Woodstock film and on its soundtrack album. In the early '70s, no rock festival was complete without the tie-dyed singer/songwriter and his warm and friendly stage manner.

John B. Sebastian is the debut album by American singer/songwriter John Sebastian, previously best known as the co-founder and primary singer/songwriter of the 1960s folk-rock band the Lovin' Spoonful. The album, released in January 1970 (see 1970 in music), includes several songs that would become staples of Sebastian's live performances during the early and mid-1970s.

Listen to John Sebastian on this live album, truly listen. There is affection in his voice for every song he performs. The album exudes his love for the music and it is infectious. It makes you feel good. That is one reason I continue to listen to this 40 year old live country folk roots rock album. Another, it is just that damn good. See the original article.
