The Capra is an intimate five-star, alpine luxury boutique lodge in a spectacular natural setting. There’s nowhere else in the world where so many 4,000 metre peaks are visible at a single glance. The car-free Swiss ski resort of Saas-Fee is a favourite among winter sports connoisseurs for its long ski season, guaranteed high-quality snow, and authentic charm. Combining the cosiness of a chalet with the comforts of a luxury hotel, The Capra’s understated elegance is inspired by the pure intensity of the alpine scenery.
The Magnificent Eleven are a group of photos of D-Day taken by war photographer Robert Capa. Capa was with one of the earliest waves of troops landing on the American invasion beach, Omaha Beach. While under fire Capa took 106 pictures, all but eleven of which were destroyed in a processing accident in the Life magazine photo lab in London. The surviving photos have since been called the Magnificent Eleven.

From the Spanish Civil War to the Middle East conflict, war has always drawn writers and photographers like Ernest Hemingway and Robert Capa, author Amanda Veill tells DW, though it hasn't done them much good. DW: In your nonfiction book "Hotel Florida: Truth, Love, and Death in the Spanish Civil War" you write about three couples that participated in the war, which began 80 years ago on July 17, 1936: The writers Ernest Hemingway (pictured, center) and Martha Gellhorn are the most famous ones, followed by photographers Robert Capa and Gerda Taro.
