Björk - Volta mp3 album

Björk is the only studio album by Icelandic singer Björk Guðmundsdóttir as a child singer, released on 18 December 1977 by Fálkinn. In 1976, Björk appeared on Icelandic radio singing "I Love to Love" through the music school she attended, which led her to a record deal and the release, with the help of stepfather Sævar, of her first solo album in 1977.

Voltaïc refers to five separate releases of related material from musician Björk's seventh studio album Volta. The full version of the release includes a CD of eleven songs performed live at the Olympic Studios, a DVD of Björk's live performances in Paris and Reykjavík during the Volta tour, a second DVD of the Volta music videos as well as videos of the top ten runners-up from the "Innocence" video contest, and a second CD of remixes from Volta's singles.

But in her pre-game interviews for Volta, Björk hinted that it might finally be time to flip the switch back. Disappointingly, it turns out that Timbaland and the Technicolor artwork were red herrings- Volta is not Björk's pop record

Listen free to Björk – Volta (Earth Intruders, Wanderlust and more). Volta is the Grammy-nominated sixth full-length studio album from Icelandic singer Björk, a follow-up to 2004's Medúlla and comprises ten new tracks. In an interview done for daily Internet publication Pitchfork, Björk talked for the first time about the theme of the album. But with this one, it was different because I knew more emotionally what I wanted.

Reviews about Björk - Volta (3):
BOND
Oh no, it's the Bjork many of us don't like, again! Volta is just a bunch of noises, distorted sounds, out of tune, melody. I understand artists should evolve, Bjork certainly has the talent to move forward but with this new release I bet she is going the other way. If you haven't been into Bjork, this is deffinitely not the album to get into her. I miss the pre-Medulla Bjork. I miss her so much.

To my mind Bjork is one of the artists which is constantly growing up mentally, so you can hear it in her music, voice, samples, loops , in her musicians, videos. Don't you forget that her music - is an experiment in all means? Bjork is kinda unique in that way - her every album is not like previous one, it's another page in a great part of music history. Volta represents all Earth nations, it's cultures, traditions. And I think the previous comment was a comment of a person, who wasn't interested in getting equainted with all that variety of beatiful things. Volta is absolutely great album, and don't forget to be patient - you possibly wouldn't understand its message at first, just listen to it for few more times. It's Bjork - remember?

I've lost contact with Bjork around the Homogenic/DITD season. With the following Vespertine and Medulla I have realized I was no longer interested in her music craft, which has reached unbearable levels of eclectism and stylishness. Volta is the same story - the voice of Bjork is outstanding and masterful as always, but it's being thrown into multiple, strange, complicated, and too 'brainy' musical environments that makes this pop just too ambitious and intense - which is awful. And the overexposure of Antony is getting really annoying.
