Jazzanova - Of All The Things mp3 album

It's to be expected that Jazzanova would turn in excellent productions with every track, but what's most impressive about Of All the Things is the work that Jazzanova haven't made their forté in the past - songwriting, arrangements, and the pairing of each vocalist with a song that works perfectly for them. Whereas in the past, Jazzanova's preeminence was obvious on the surface, Of All the Things displays their subtle powers for music-making.

Of All The Things is a jazz related djs/electronica/rap music album recording by JAZZANOVA released in 2008 on CD, LP/Vinyl and/or cassette. Verve Records, Universal Music Group ‎– 178373-1 (EU). Of all the things Jazzanova love and chose to include here, not one of them feels out of place. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Licence. 1 Look What You’re Doin’ to Me. 2 Let Me Show Ya. 3 I Can See.

Of all the things Jazzanova could have done for a sophomore effort in the seven interminable years since their electro-jazz landmark In Between, they've recorded a soul record. Granted, these six German producers have been cutting their teeth on soul music and its offshoots with a baker's dozen of tasteful mixes, so the direction they've taken on their newest batch of own-productions isn't completely surprising. Of all the ideals Jazzanova could have striven for on their first album since the Paleozoic era (2001), they aimed and shot a. conomy. Hardly the hour-plus opus that In Between was, Of All the Things packs a mind-boggling array of ideas into its 12 brief, wholly digestible songs. Not since Stereolab's Emperor Tomato Ketchup in 1996 has a pop record thrown so much at the wall while sounding so divinely simple.

Of All the Things is the second full-length album by Jazzanova, and their first release for Verve Records. The album features guest appearances from Phonte of Little Brother, Paul Randolph, Ben Westbeech, Thief, Jose James, Leon Ware, Dwele, Joe Dukie, Pedro Martins, Azymuth, and Bembé Segue. Jazzanova released their studio album Of All the Things, on October 21,2008. The groups 2005 album, The Minstrel Show, was a concept album dealing with the current state of hip hop music, the album received a positive critical reaction but very little commercial success. During the recording of their album, the group announced the departure of producer 9th Wonder on amicable terms.

This all led towards their debut album In Between in 2002: a glorious mixture of radical experimentation and classicist sounds, with a rich cast of vocalists and instrumentalists. But where for many the album would be the be-all-and-end-all, here it was just another strand along with their remixing, curation, DJing and gradual moves towards rendering their compositions in the live arena. And here is where the brilliance of the Jazzanova model becomes apparent. And so, the ten years between Of All the Things and The Pool passed fast. Jazzanova never slowed down, they never ceased making those musical connections with scenes, other musicians, and fans. OK, during that time, most of the members of Jazzanova did take time to start families, but the nature of the beast was such that the music just kept on coming.
