The theme song for Men of Wood and Foam is a collaboration, with Band of Frequencies providing the music and writer/producer Phil Jarratt contributing the lyrics. With that as a guide, OJ and I threw some ideas around beforehand and then hammered them into shape in the very little downtime we had in the studio. Band of Frequencies’ line-up on this album features the return of Terepai Richmond to the drum set. We have collaborated previously with the ‘Pai-man’ on two film soundtrack albums, Life Like Liquid, by Dave Rastovich (Low Pressure Productions) and Under the Sun by Californian filmmaker Cyrus Sutton (Ubiquity Records).

The radio spectrum is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum with frequencies from 30 Hertz to 300 GHz. Electromagnetic waves in this frequency range, called radio waves, are extremely widely used in modern technology, particularly in telecommunication. To prevent interference between different users, the generation and transmission of radio waves is strictly regulated by national laws, coordinated by an international body, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Men Of Wood & Foam follows the story of six friends from Brookvale who shaped the history of surfing in Australia. We dive into a golden decade when surfing was transformed into a sport and a culture with its own music, movies, fashions and heroes. Followed by: Morning of the Earth. A film by Albert Falzon, 1972.

GSM frequency bands or frequency ranges are the cellular frequencies designated by the ITU for the operation of GSM mobile phones and other mobile devices. A dual-band 900/1800 device is required to be compatible with most networks apart from deployments in ITU-Region 2. GSM-900 and GSM-1800 are used in most parts of the world (ITU-Regions 1 and 3): Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia (apart from Japan and South Korea where GSM has never been introduced) and Oceania.
