The Beatles With Tony Sheridan - Why mp3 album

The Early Tapes of The Beatles is the first digital repackaging of The Beatles' First, the 1964 German compilation album of Tony Sheridan and The Beatles recordings. The songs were recorded in Hamburg between 1961 and 1963. Most of the tracks feature vocals by Sheridan. Only tracks 1-5, 7, 10, and 11 actually feature the Beatles, with John Lennon singing lead on "Ain't She Sweet" and featuring "Cry for a Shadow", an instrumental written and performed by the British group alone

My Bonnie is a 1962 album by English rock and roll singer-songwriter and musician Tony Sheridan. Sheridan, then playing in clubs in Hamburg with the Beatles, was discovered by producer Bert Kaempfert and subsequently signed with him to record. Sheridan recorded several songs with the Beatles, two of which were later released as a single. Further recordings without the Beatles filled out the album. Because of the later fame of the Beatles, the material has been repackaged several times.

The Beatles with Tony Sheridan & Guests was an American album featuring "Cry for a Shadow," a track recorded by The Beatles in Hamburg in 1961, with five tracks recorded in Hamburg in 1961 in which The Beatles provided backing music for vocalist Tony Sheridan, some of which had been released in Germany under the name "Tony Sheridan and The Beat Brothers", because the word "Beatles" sounded too much like "peedles", a rude word in German.

The Beatles entered a recording studio for the first time 50 years ago, in 1961. Sheridan handles almost all of the vocals, and there are only two tracks without him, a version of John Lennon singing Ain’t She Sweet and an early George Harrison instrumental called Cry for a Shadow, both of which are featured here in mono, stereo, and medley versions. This isn’t the Beatles as most of the world knows the group, and these recordings definitely have more of a historical value than anything else.

Yellow MGM Label

This was the first appearance of these two tracks in Canada on a 45. Cry For A Shadow is the only known example of a Lennon-Harrison collaboration while they were Beatles. The 45 was pressed by Quality Records and has the same yellow label as the earlier My Bonnie single.

The Canadian single was never repressed. Original copies were issued with imported US picture sleeves. Less than 500 of these sleeves were imported.
