Little Richard's Greatest Hits (or Great Hits) is an album of Little Richard songs re-recorded in 1964 and first released by Vee-Jay Records in January 1965. It features updated versions of twelve of his best-known songs originally recorded in the 1950s for Specialty Records. Some of these re-recordings use different musical arrangements, including unusual syncopation, tambourine and jazz horns.

Here's Little Richard and Little Richard Volume 2 have just about every classic Little Richard side on them. Those first two albums are a hard, verging on impossible, act to follow. Little Richard Volume 2 and the third album, The Fabulous Little Richard were both released after Richard had left Specialty in late 1957 and temporarily retired from recording rock’n’roll for the first time. world at large, taken from Richard's last 1950s Specialty session. Some of the earlier recordings were overdubbed with vocals from the Stewart Sisters, perhaps in an attempt to update them in the wake of ex Specialty artist Sam Cooke's pop success, and these overdub versions have come in for some criticism in the past. To be fair, the girl voices are not always entirely welcome. But if you can retune your ears after the full on assault from the first two LP's, The Fabulous will reap rewards.

This page is a discography for rock and roll musician Little Richard. He began his recording career in 1951, signing to RCA Victor, and moved to Peacock Records in 1953. He attained international success after signing with Specialty Records in 1955. RCA Victor sessions: WGST Studio, Atlanta, October 16, 1951, and January 12, 1952. Peacock sessions: Houston, February 25 and October 5, 1953. Little Richard recorded the demonstration tape for Specialty at WBML Studio, Macon, on February 9, 1955.

So, Concord Music Group revived the Specialty imprint and released this excellent hits collection, which at 25 tracks is just as long as The Georgia Peach. this is as good a Little Richard compilation as you can get, which means this is as good as rock & roll gets.

Little Richard: Johnny B Goode, Chantilly Lace, Good Golly Miss Molly, Rockin' Robin, Let's Twist Again, The Twist, Move It, Dynamite, You Keep a Knocking, Long Tall Sally, King Creole, Great Balls of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On, Sweet Little Sixteen, Tutti Frutti, Honeycomb, Multiplication, Peppermint Twist, What I Say, Roll over Beethoven, Oh, Lonesome Me, Wake up Little Suzie, At the Hop, Walking Back to Happiness, Along Came Jones и другие песни.

Little Richard was a ribald spirit whose flare bubbled with fun. His hits like "Tutti Frutti," "Long Tall Sally" & "Good Golly, Miss Molly" are all here. Tracks like "Rip It Up" & "Ready Teddy" explode with Richard's voice rough & raunchy. The Girl Can't Help It" that I knew from records by Bobby Vee, The Everly Brothers and The Animals burns here in Little Richard's version.

Little Richard's Greatest Hits. Great Hits (or His Greatest His) is an album of Little Richard songs re-recorded in 1964 and first released by Vee-Jay Records in 1965. According to Little Richard biographer Charles White, both the recordings and Richard's self-parodying persona of the time are regarded as low points in his career: "blinded by commercial considerations, they rushed the session without concern for quality. The result was dreadful.
