Nobody Wins was the formulaic pop which John and Gary Osborne created in the years (1977-1982) Elton and Bernie were not writing much together. Not unlike Ego or Part-Time Love - tasty - but leaving you wanting more - that is, until, Little Jeanie put Elton John back at the top of the charts in the summer of 1980. Chloe was a winner as well as Blue Eyes, from Jump Up, from the John/Osborne period - which - I must admit - has grown on my over time. I distinctly remember hearing this for the first time - incongruously at a drugstore. That brings back memories. I remember when this video was shown on German TV. Powerful song from a great album. Love The Fox! Thanks so much!
