Beres Hammond - Putting Up Resistance mp3 album
Hammond returned briefly to Jamaica to record Putting Up Resistance, which was significantly harder than his typical ballads, produced by Tappa Zukie, which spawned the hits "Putting Up Resistance" and "Strange". He signed with Penthouse Records in 1990 and returned to Jamaica permanently to record the dancehall smash "Tempted to Touch", with producer Donovan Germain. This is perhaps his best known. His 2012 album One Love, One Life topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart
Putting Up Resistance. Album Jet Star Reggae Max. Putting Up Resistance Lyrics Pressure. Still I'm Putting up a resistance I'm ah gonna work it out You know I'm Putting up a resistance I've got to work it out. Blow wind blow, blow wind blow I want to stay home tonight I long to spend some time with the family But staying home won't make it right Sometimes the pressure make me feel like bawling When every sign says no way out Breaking my back to make an overtime dollar That just goes from hand to mouth.

Beres Hammond's career has traveled a careening course of fits and starts. He returned to the island periodically however, during which time Tappa Zukie prodded him into the studio, and eventually these sessions coalesced into the Putting Up Resistance album. Simultaneously, Hammond was also working on the Have a Nice Week End album, and it's astounding to compare the two. While Week End luxuriated in ballads, Resistance is as tough as its title. Zukie's production is as militant as ever, the beats may be dancehall-fired, but the entire set is drenched in deep roots atmospheres, and even the most ragga-fied numbers have a glorious organic quality. The album is strewn with hits, including the title track's jubilant cry of defiance, the haunting "Look fi Me Girl," and the gently, rocking "On the Dance Floor.
