The Soviettes - Rarities mp3 album

Rarities (typeset as on the artwork) is the fourth album, and first compilation, by the Minneapolis punk rock band The Soviettes. It is a selection of the group's lesser-known material, including their early EPs. It was released free on the internet and also in vinyl LP format. Hot Sauced and Peppered" – 2:34. Go Lambs Go!" – 1:58. Matt's Song (Split Version)" – 2:46.

Rarities is still a good album, but given that the group's three full-lengths were such tight pop-punk concoctions, anything less cohesive pales. That's why a rough track like "Twin Cities Sound" can be disappointing compared to the group's overall output yet still kick the shit out of 99 percent of all other music ever written. But enough s is priced to move and er'rybody should take advantage. These 18 songs run the Soviettes' pop-punk playbook hard and fast.

Well, The Soviettes folded after three excellent records. But apparently they had some leftovers, B-sides and EP-tracks. So they chose the funnest bits, threw them all together and made an excellent dish. None of the 18 songs are as tight and clean and harmony-filled as their last (and best) effort, ‘LP III’. Still, ‘Rarities’ is a rad listen in all its naivete and roughness. And it’s a fun experience to hear the band evolve towards that pop punk powerhouse they had become by the end. And if you read this far: congratulations.

Are all 'green' copies of this the coke bottle clear ones, or are there actual green copies?
