From The Sticks plays best from start to finish but a few tracks really stand out. The opener & in Lyme’ beginning with an intro of futuristic synth sounds quickly kicks into action with the arrival of pounding boombap drums and echoing horn stabs. The track really sets the tone for the rest of the release by building on multiple layers of sound to create a textured and evocative vibe. All this goes some way to explaining the attention Fields has been getting for From The Sticks. Although the release will be most appealing to fans of the east coast sound of the early to mid-90s a distinctively progressive vibe is present throughout. George Fields is certainly one to look out for and From The Sticks is not only an extremely solid debut but a reminder that hiphop is alive and well, even in the most unexpected places. Fields - Brittlesticks Şarkı Sözü. A sadness in my heart What tears these lives apart But will leave a mark on you. The tributes that i read Convince me that your dead Im sure youll find the same things to. Throw out these stones Brittle sticks of bones I should have brought to you Tell me something. Take back the car Its brittle ash flies hard It burnt my life right through.

You could start by saying that Living Fields is an album of catharsis and redefinition, born of a desire to create newness out of loss and change. You could also say that the band Portico themselves have undergone a process of ending and re-beginning, but none of this quite captures what you will hear. Portico are Duncan Bellamy, Milo Fitzpatrick and Jack Wyllie. Previously they were three-quarters of the highly successful and Portico Quartet. But Living Fields is no continuation under a shortened name. As far as the band are concerned this is a debut. There are three remarkable singers on this record:Jono McCleery, Joe Newman (Alt-J) and Jamie Woon. These are not just guest performances and it shows.
