The following is a list of artists and bands associated with the new wave music genre during the late 1970s and early-to-mid 1980s. The list does not include acts associated with the resurgences and revivals of the genre that have occurred from the 1990s onward. Acts associated with these revivals are found in the list of post-punk revival bands article. Groups and artists with aliases are listed by the first letter in their name, and individuals are listed by their surname.
New Wave music meant a lot of things in the late 1970s. It encompassed pretty much everything that followed the punk movement that still served as an alternative to mainstream pop and rock. There was power-pop, neo-psychedelia, acid-punk, art rock and lots and lots of keyboards
New Wave is Against Me!'s fourth full-length studio album and their debut album on Sire Records. Produced by Butch Vig of Nevermind fame, it was released on July 10, 2007. The album debuted at on the Billboard 200 on the week of its release. The album's first single, "White People for Peace", was released in May 2007, prior to the album's release. A second single, "Thrash Unreal", followed in July 2007. New Wave is the first Against Me! full length to not feature any acoustic tracks.
New Wave may refer to: The New Wave, French New Wave, or Nouvelle Vague, the inaugural New Wave cinema movement. Indian New Wave, or Parallel Cinema, which began around the same time as the French New Wave. Japanese New Wave, or Nuberu Bagu, which also developed around the same time as the French Nouvelle Vague. Persian New Wave, or Iranian New Wave, started in the 1960s. New German Cinema, new wave of German cinema. New Nigerian Cinema, also known as Nigerian New Wave.

After the test-pressing, the first regular release was sold. This one has black labels without rim label text and dark purple sleeve with sharp font on sleeve. The second repress has same label artwork, but a pink sleeve with blurred text on back sleeve. This version also does exist with a post-manufacturing sticker, announcing the chart success of Grauzone's "Eisbär". This is the first release, which is not from the original master by RSO, but from a new master. This can be recognized by the runout groove etching. This and the missing duration for Track B2 is the same as for the following version.
