Timothy Charles Buckley III (February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975) was an American vocalist, songwriter, guitarist and producer. His music and style changed considerably through the years; he began his career based in folk music, but his subsequent albums experimented with jazz, psychedelia, funk, soul, the avant-garde and an evolving "voice as instrument" sound

Morning Glory is a compilation album by Tim Buckley. The album is a compilation of the Buckley's 1968 John Peel session (see Peel Sessions) and two further tracks ("Honeyman" and Fred Neil's "Dolphins") taken from the May 21, 1974 performance for, BBC TV music series, The Old Grey Whistle Test. Morning Glory should not be confused with 2001 release Morning Glory: The Tim Buckley Anthology.

Buckley's last single "Wanda Lu" b/w "Who Could Deny You" from the album "Look At The Fool" is really far away from where Buckley began. is in a jazzy/soulful style with full background singers and a full arrangement. This collection along with the recently released set of demos from 1967 (titled "Lady, Give Me Your Key") are both welcome additions to Buckley's discography. It also provides rare mono single mixes for tracks 1-9, improved sound (courtesy of Michael Graves), and an interview with Buckley’s longtime collaborator, Larry Beckett. But with no hits, one’s left to wonder whether the label hadn’t the will to push Buckley on singles-oriented radio, or if his music was simply that of an album-oriented artist.

Arranged By, Producer – Joe Falsia. Written-By – Tim Buckley. Matrix, Runout (Mono Side deadwax - etched): DSS - 1311 SCA 4958 RE1 1C BL.

Buckley whizzed through a bunch of different styles in his approximately decade-long career, and was always an album-oriented artist. That makes the assembly of a best-of collection a difficult task to fulfill without omitting much of the context of what made the singer special.
