Iron Maiden is the debut studio album by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden.
It’s a dirty and frankly impossible job, but needs must. And no, you’re wrong. Understandably overshadowed by its revelatory predecessor, Brave New World, Maiden’s 13th studio album was cursed with the band’s worst ever artwork, but beyond that Dance Of Death is pretty damn great. An album of strong moments, rather than a compelling, convincing whole, its diversity is its greatest asset.
Founded in Leyton in London's East End in 1975, Iron Maiden released their first album in 1980 as a five-piece with Paul Di'Anno on vocals. Bruce Dickinson would replace him in 1981. With several line-up changes Steve Harris would remain the only original member never to have had a hiatus. When Bruce Dickinson quit in 1994 and was replaced by Wolfsbane's Blaze Bayley, the band lost a lot of their fanbase
Iron Maiden are an institution. Over the course of nearly 40 years they have come to embody a spirit of fearless creative independence, ferocious dedication to their fans, and a cheerful indifference to their critics that’s won them a following that spans every culture, generation, and time-zone. With both 2003’s diverse and ingenious Dance Of Death album and its dark and daring follow-up, 2006’s A Matter Of Life And Death, they dazzled fans and critics alike. In 2013 the Maiden England world tour took the band into Europe, the States, and South America, most notably hitting Brazil yet again for Rock In Rio which sold out 90,000 tickets within hours. That legendary year also saw a return to UK’s Donington Park on the 25th Anniversary of the band’s legendary headline 1988 performance during the Seventh Son World Tour.
HD Iron Maiden Album Art 1980-2015. Apparently, this was the first rendition of the Maiden Japan, but the manager didn't approve. This is probably because vocalist Paul Di'Anno (pictured as a severed head) was actually in the process of being kicked from the band. Of course, this was kept a secret from Paul, and the manager felt that this artwork would be seen in bad taste once Paul was let go after the Maiden Japan tour. All copies were thought to have been destroyed
