From Madness's second album Absolutely and released in January 1981, the video for The Return Of The Los Palmas 7 comprises random footage (the Apollo rocket take off, the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars, Björn Borg serving at Wimbledon etc) interspersed with groups scenes of the band in a greasy spoon and an elegant restaurant. Filmed in the Venus Café in West London and Kenwood Park in North London, the band even appear dressed as cowboys.

This 12" is a masterpiece with an absolute must have version of My Girl recorded with Prince Buster. The Swan Lake live from the film Dance Craze is also a must have. This is really a no risk buy 12" :)

I also thougt the same as you, but the meaning is different I was told. The real meaning is it was recorded during the Pathway sessions, where 3 songs were recorded, My Girl, Madness and The Prince. The last 2 appeared on their first single released on 2Tone (unfortunate never in the Netherlands). This version of My Girl was never released until the 12" of the Los Palmas 7.But I need to agree, a nice record ????
