Tom Wopat - I've Been There mp3 album
While Tom Wopat is best known for being Luke Duke on the Dukes Of Hazzard television show, he also is a recording artist and stage actor.
I've Got Your Number. If I Only Had a Brain.
While Tom Wopat may be best-loved for playing "Luke Duke" on the Dukes of Hazzard TV show (1979 to 1985), he has serious country music bona fides as well as two Tony nominations for his Broadway efforts. For those who are unfamiliar with his musical gifts, I've Got Your Number will come as a delightful revelation. Wopat's rangey voice is rich, warm, and true, with an occasional intriguing rasp; his time is perfect, his dynamics artfully expressive, and his warm phrasing every bit as compelling and conversational as Frank Sinatra's.

Courtesy of Tom Wopat. If you’re typecast, there’s not a hell of a lot you can do about it except take stuff that takes you out of type, explained the 67-year-old. And fortunately for me, I got back to work on Broadway right away and I’ve had some interesting film things that I’ve been able to do. It never really was a problem per s. I’ve always kind of felt it was up to me to determine what the heck I did. And I’ve been lucky enough to be able to do what a like to do. Over the years, both Schneider and Wopat have been able to successfully pursue their passion for music.
Musically, he switches between rock and roll and country music styles, though his two most recent albums have been of classic pop standards. His 1980s albums were on EMI Nashville. The latter recording, Dissertation on the State of Bliss, is a collection of Harold Arlen songs. Wopat first appeared on the Broadway stage as a replacement in the 1977 musical I Love My Wife, as Wally. He later appeared as a replacement in the stage musicals City of Angels and Guys and Dolls. I've Got Your Number. Full Moon, Empty Pockets". (Till) I Kissed You".
Purchased as a gift for a Tom Wopat fan. She LOVES this album and plays it all the time. I've listened to it and have to say it is really good. I would recommend this album to anyone no matter what kind of music they like (except maybe fans of heavy metal). This is a good cd. It sort of sums up Tom Wopat's career as a country star. He has been everything from a . star to a Broadway star. But wasn't really a big star.
It’s been more than three decades since John Schneider and Tom Wopat were just’a good ol’ boys, never meaning no harm. On October 28th, the pair will release Home for Christmas, an 18-track holiday album that mixes seasonal standards like I’ll Be Home for Christmas and Silver Bells with humorous, left-field tracks like Johnny, It’s Cold Outside, a bromantic reinterpretation of Baby, It’s Cold Outside.
