Fred Frith - Speechless mp3 album
Speechless (Fred Frith album). This notion came to him when he once tried to listen to a recording of an interview he had done, and the cassette machine played back both sides of the tape at the same. time, backwards, rendering the words unintelligible
Speechless (Fred Frith album) has been listed as one of the Music good articles under the good article criteria. Hi, I removed the "Background" section. It made no mention of the article subject and was a summary of the article on Fred Frith but didn't discuss the origin of the album or its creation. The article makes just as much sense without the section and is a better read (and follows criterion 3 (b) of the good article criteria) therefore I removed it. Users can check out the main article on Frith for his life. Hekerui (talk) 10:40, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Storytelling (Fred Frith album). Storytelling is a 2017 live album by English guitarist Fred Frith. It was performed by Frith in a trio with Danish saxophonist Lotte Anker and Swiss percussionist Samuel Dühsler on 18 March 2017 at the Theater Gütersloh in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The recording was released on 18 August 2017 by Intuition in Germany as Volume 12 of its European Jazz Legends series.
This is one of the most important experimental guitar-based titles from avant guitarist and founding Henry Cow member Fred Frith. Frith's second solo album, Speechless, includes appearances by Etron Fou Leloublan, Massacre, and Bill Laswell. This is a studio Frankenstein of live clips and found sounds. While Frith attests to the occurrence of many "happy accidents," the album comes across confidently and more often more coherent than merely challenging. This is often cited as Frith's best solo record, and its inspired manipulations hold up under repeated scrutiny
For his second solo album of the 1980s Fred Frith followed a similar format to Gravity, using different backing musicians for side a (Etron Fou) and b (Massacre). It's a very different album, however; the eccentric dance music of the previous album has given way to a darker, more obviously RIO style of composition and performance, with greater emphasis on studio work and use of taped sound sources.
