Armand Van Helden - Ghettoblaster mp3 album
Southern Fried Records. Ghettoblaster Sampler (CD, Promo, Smplr).
Armand van Helden (born February 16, 1970) is an American DJ, record producer, remixer and songwriter from Boston. He was one of the main proponents of the speed garage genre, remixing various artists such as Katy Perry, Daft Punk, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, David Guetta, Sam Smith, Bloc Party, Janet Jackson, Juliet Roberts, KRS-One and Sneaker Pimps, among others with this musical style.
Ghettoblaster is the seventh studio album by Armand Van Helden. The vocals in I Want Your Soul were sampled from "Do You Want It Right Now" by Siedah Garrett. Some of the tracks are throwbacks to freestyle music which was popular in the 1980s.

However, in places Ghettoblaster suffers from the same problems that bedeviled the extended remixes that proliferated in the new wave scene: what sounded great for three minutes became interminable after four. High scores for accuracy then, but a few points docked for lack of imagination. Overall, however, this is an extremely clever, fun-infested set, with Van Helden effortlessly evoking specific styles and songs with a single note or beat.

Armand Van Helden – Ghettoblaster We all have our own personal stories about how we came across Armand Van Helden for the first time. For me, it was spring of ‘99, when the glorious strings of ‘You Don’t Know Me’ entertained my Tuesday house-phase nights. For most, it was when ‘My My My’ went platinum two years ago, consolidating Van Helden’s status as a mainstream superstar DJ with borrowed and cartoon-like ‘underground’ credibility. AVH’s new album, ‘Ghettoblaster’, won’t do anything to change that self-caring ludicrous and dummies image
