The Relatives - Jim Morrison mp3 album

James Douglas Morrison (December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971) was an American singer, songwriter and poet, best remembered as the lead vocalist of the rock band the Doors. Due to his poetic lyrics, distinctive voice, wild personality, performances, and the dramatic circumstances surrounding his life and early death, Morrison is regarded by music critics and fans as one of the most iconic and influential frontmen in rock music history.

The set also includes personal tech notes from Bruce Botnick, liner notes by music journalist David Fricke + a selection of rare and previously unseen photographs!

The album was recorded into its release format seven years after lead singer Jim Morrison’s death in 1971. Morrison’s voiceovers heard on the album were originally recorded mostly in March 1969 and in December 1970 with only him present in the recording studio, as spoken word recitations of his own poetry works. After Morrison’s death, the remaining members of The Doors put the album together using the master tapes of Morrison’s spoken word recordings as the main lyric/vocal track source throughout the entire album.

Genius or not, Jim Morrison had never been what passed in the mid-20th century for a normal person. The eldest son of Rear Admiral George Morrison of the United States Navy, he grew up a well-educated but self-absorbed child who became a major disappointment to his father when, instead of following in the family footsteps and going to naval college, he plumped instead for a degree course in film studies in Los Angeles. By the start of 1967, the first, self-titled Doors album was ready for release. Jim Morrison is the son of the admiral. He is the well-born young man, white Anglo Saxon protestant, who is heir to the throne. He should have been a well-behaved young Republican, except he’s not, he’s in The Doors and he’s totally misbehaving.

Jim Morrison gave birth to Rock music, one of the most popular genres of music. Jim is known both as a lead singer for his band ‘Doors’ and also for his personal singles and albums. Even with the sudden changes in the music genres, Morrison will always be remembered for his path breaking rock music. Morrison was both a much loved and much hated man for his indulgences in heightened creativity clubbed with overdose of drugs and other addictions. Though Morrison is mainly known for being a great song writer but he also wrote several books. Morrison lived a controversial life full of wine, women.

Jim Morrison: The High School Years. The Morrison family moved to Woodland Terrace in Jefferson Park, into an infamous house whose tragic history served as an early indication of Morrison’s partiality for all things shocking. A woman named Betty Howard committed suicide in the basement of that house in September 1957. As a neighbor relayed the details of that tragedy to Morrison’s mother, 15-year-old Jim was seated at the kitchen table
