Massive Attack - Ritual Spirit mp3 album

Ritual Spirit is an EP by British trip hop group Massive Attack, released on 28 January 2016. It features trip hop artist Tricky for the first time since the release of Protection in 1994, and also features Scottish hip-hop group Young Fathers, London rapper Roots Manuva and singer Azekel

Massive Attack contacted relative newcomer, London based soul singer, Azekel Adesuyi, in 2015 to collaborate together on Ritual Spirit which would go on to be the title track of the EP released in Januray 2016. On the subsequent tour that followed, Azekel joined Massive Attack on stage to perform Ritual Spirit each night of the tour. It was Azekel first time as part of a major live tour. Album · 2016 · 4 Songs. Over five years have passed since 2010’s Heligloand and remix-heavy Atlas Air EP. A few unsettling bleeps and portentous beats into Ritual Spirit’s opening track and it’s clear Massive Attack have returned tooled up with intent. This EP-written and produced by Robert 3D del Naja and long-time collaborator Euan Dickinson-is pulsing with venom and underlines the band’s superlative talent for collaborator recruitment.

Reviews about Massive Attack - Ritual Spirit (24):
I see a bunch of people complaining about paying 20 for a 4 track EP. How the crapsack did you not know what it was? Did you all just buy it not knowing the track list? That's no ones fault but yours. The EP is amazing, and it was put together BY HAND and screen printed, not by machine. It's super rare in my opinion and will be worth a lot in the future.
The rare issue that you are talking about is not this one (which of course made by machine) but the other numbered one up to 300 pieces with different style of cover, please check here https://www.discogs.com/Massive-Attack-Ritual-Spirit/release/8074633
The 'super rare' version is not this one though, so it won't woth as much in the future.
Update: After my experience (see below) I have decided that I will never buy any massive attack ever again.it was bad enough that I got charged £20 for a 4-track 12" single but when I saw that their new 12" was pretty much the same price I was disgusted. You're good guys, you're not THAT good.you don't see fsol charging £20 for a 4 track ep.this is a shame,a damn shame.gutted.
Sounds terrific ! Such a depth in the mix. It was a bit expensive here in France because of the importation, but it was worth the effort.
Additionally, and hopefully to their credit, Sandbag offered a refund. So I'll take them up on it and see how it goes, obviously requesting that they pay for the return shipping.
Quick follow-up, I did get refunded for 1 of the 2 copies I bought, and they decided that I should keep it anyway; very nice way to smooth over this not-so-great deal:)
blac wolf
Not a double as advertised. I complained and got the "sorry, misprint" email. Wouldn't have bought this 4 track EP for 20 pounds, very hard to swallow. Having said that, my pressing is dead quiet, quite remarkable really. NOT recommended for that price, they should be ashamed.
Does anyone else seem to get a strange ticking sound on both sides? it seems to be a little black bit in the vinyl (as if it's marbled) that causes the ticking.anyone?
I have ordered a limited double vinyl for 20 UK Pounds ... 29 Jan 2016 massive attack website ... today I have received a single vinyl edition ... is fraud ... what else? ... Track okay, but not the bests from MA
Yes, me too! Any solutions? I've thinked to write they for this.
great 12’’. But what a rip-off price and what a wrong way to do marketing. Its NOT a 2 vinyl. Its not a ep, its a 12’’ but priced as an album. Still 4 good tracks, too pricey. and where is printed 4 colour process + special screen printed 5th colour orange ?
Perhaps it was incorrectly priced as a 2 x 12" vinyl too? Cause yes, this was an overpriced record, despite it being 4 quality tracks.
Fantastic EP. Every song is great, but why does track 4 "feature" 3D? He is already 1/2 of Massive Attack. :S
Haha great point. No idea why he is listed as featured. Yeah Rob, I assumed you were on the track haha.
Am I wrong or was this initially advertised as a double vinyl release? Even in the description on the webstore? http://www.thevinylfactory.com/vinyl-factory-news/massive-attack-to-release-new-ep-ritual-spirit-on-limited-edition-vinyl/
Received this e-mail from Sandbag. I'd rather receive a partial refund since the EP was blatantly priced at a double vinyl price point, but apparently it is actually supposed to be an overpriced single vinyl EP:Hi,Thank you for your email. We are very sorry, unfortunately the product description was supplied to us incorrectly and it was advertised as a double vinyl in error. We understand this makes for disappointing reading and we extend our sincerest apologies for the misleading information. The store was updated as soon as we realised the error. You are of course more than welcome to return the vinyl back to us for a full refund should you wish to do so.Once again, sincerest apologies for any inconvenience and disappointment caused.Kind regards,Sandbag
Nope you are not wrong, just checked the invoice where it clearly states: "RITUAL SPIRIT EP [Double Vinyl] MSV2VRITUALSPXXX" Still great tunes though.
That's what I was saying when this came in the mail today... I ordered this the fist day it was available for pre order..I was expecting remixes on the 2nd record but I guess not... :/
The product description was supplied incorrectly and it was advertised as a double vinyl in error.
As i remember - this album should be a double vinyl release! On my order card it was written: RITUAL SPIRIT EP [Double Vinyl] MSV2VRITUALSPXXX 1
"4-colour centre labels" Eh? Mine's B&W. Grey vinyl and screen printed orange text on front sleeve but otherwise a bog standard 12" EP. I wonder how many copies will sit unopened with 'dealers' - it's not that ltd so hopefully many will actually be played and enjoyed.
Hmm ... what on earth is a linen tester, lol.
Take a linen tester and check- you'll find cmyk + orange- it's 4c
