East Of Eden - East Of Eden mp3 album
East of Eden is the second studio album by Taken by Trees, the solo project of Swedish musician Victoria Bergsman. The album was released on 7 September 2009 by Rough Trade Records. Bergsman travelled to Pakistan to record the album, and several of the album's songs incorporate influences from Pakistani music. The song "My Boys" is a cover of the Animal Collective song "My Girls" with some minor lyric changes.
There are 4 bands with the name East of Eden: a British progressive rock band, a German rock band and a Christian progressive hardcore band from New Zealand. A British progressive rock band that formed in the late 1960s to the early 1970s, and who still release the occasional album. Began as a heavy psychedelic band with a strong eastern influence before exploring more jazz/rock territory, then settled into more a mainstream country rock mode.
East Of Eden biography Formed in Bristol, UK, in 1967 - Disbanded in 1978 - Reunited in 1996. I think that EAST OF EDEN is a very good and worthmentioned prog rock band. They where formed in 1967 and signed with DECCA RECORDS around the year 1969. With their debut album, Mercator Projected, East Of Eden approached a unique territory that could be described as a crossover of psychedelic rock and world music. One year after the work, the group started recording Snafu, an album that many years later is considered their best work. The music on Snafu is nearly unclassifiable.

Pink toes press against the carpet Show your face and finish what you started The record spins down the alley, late night Be my friend, surround me like a satellite. Tiger on the prowl East of Eden Coming for you now. Keep me from the cages under the control Running in the dark to find east of Eden Keep me from the cages under the control Running in the dark to find east of Eden To find east of Eden (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) To find east of Eden (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) To find east of Eden. oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) To find east of Eden (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh).
Thankfully, East of Eden suits Taken by Trees the way a shift from folk-pop to terrifying avant-classical suited oft-mentioned German antecedent Nico. Bergsman's plaintive purr can't match Khan's multi-octave ululations, and unlike the late Buckley, she doesn't try. Instead, she and accompanist Andreas Söderström- working with local musicians who've played alongside the maestro- embrace the ecstatic peacefulness of this Sufi musical tradition's rhythms and instrumentation. East of Eden, in that sense, isn't so far from Studio's West Coast : a masterful, hypnotic album that draws on a world of influences but is ultimately limited by none.
