The Soft Swing is an album by saxophonist Stan Getz and recorded in 1957 and first released on the Verve label. Per the liner notes by Stewart Clay on a 2016 CD re-release, it was the only studio session in which Getz collaborated with Mose Allison, although some Mutual broadcasts from the Village Vanguard and the Red Hill Inn (Pennsauken, New Jersey) are included as bonus tracks of the re-release.

The Soft Parade is the fourth studio album by American rock band the Doors, released on July 18, 1969 by Elektra Records. Most of the album was recorded following a grueling tour during which the band was left with little time to compose new material.

The Soft Machine (also titled "Volume One" as a reissue) is the debut album by the British jazz rock band Soft Machine, released in 1968. Founded in 1966, Soft Machine (one of the central bands in the Canterbury scene) recorded and released this studio album during their 1968 tour of the USA. It was produced by Chas Chandler and Tom Wilson. The work on this album was one of the essential roots in progressive rock and jazz-fusion.

Reviews about The Soft City - The Soft City (1):
Lahorns Gods
Soft City have settled over me like a warm fuzzy blanket, filling their EP with harmonic layers of quivering inflections that infuse while weaving their way in and out of each other, projecting a sense of wellbeing and shimmering delight. This is dream-pop at it’s finest hour, an emancipation in close-quarters, where for the time it takes for this disc to spin, the world slips by in full focus, with everything feeling just so enticingly fine. Soft City have developed a jangle pop of sorts that offers up new sensibilities with some well defined angularly delivered vocals, all sounding fresh and original, as if they’ve developed and engineered a sound that’s all their own.The physical package consisted of but three tracks, thought the download offers up an additional number entitle “The Great Divide,” a slower paced haunting song with a slight tinge of alternative country meanderings, a song that feels weathered and worn, yet as smart and noticeable as gold buttons on a winter coat. This EP and their other material are rip for combing, allowing you find the tracks that ride best in your back pocket, where you’re able to create a splendid collection of songs that will have friends repeatedly asking, “Who’s that playing?”Review by Jenell Kesler
