Carly Simon - No Secrets mp3 album

No Secrets (Carly Simon album). No Secrets is the third studio album by American singer and songwriter Carly Simon, released on November 28, 1972 by Elektra Records. The album was Simon's commercial breakthrough.

Carly Simon's best album, No Secrets was also her commercial breakthrough, topping the charts and going gold, along with its leadoff single, "You're So Vain. That song set the album's saucy tone, with its air of sexually frank autobiography ("You had me several years ago/When I was still quite naïve") and its reflections on the jet-set lifestyle.

The album was produced by Richard Perry (also known for Rod Stewart and Ringo Starr, among many others) and recorded by ace engineer Robin Geoffrey Cable (Elton John, Nilsson) at Trident in London. It was mixed partly at Trident and partly at AIR studios, also in London, and also by Bill Schnee (of Sheffield Lab, Direct-to-Disk fame) at Sound Labs in .

Carly Simon included the hit That’s the Way I Always Heard it Should Be ; the title cut from the follow-up LP, Anticipation, was a single. With a pair of hits under her belt, the songstress recorded No Secrets in London. Just weeks after marrying James Taylor on November 3, 1972, the album (with its iconic album cover photo) was released on Nov. 28, with a slew of guest classic rock musicians: Bonnie Bramlett, Nicky Hopkins, Jim Keltner, Bill Payne, among them.

Carly Simon is one of the most influential singer-songwriters of her generation. The classic album that made her a global star was No Secrets, which included the enigmatic song You're So Vain. The album spent five weeks at number one in the US chart. In this new interview Carly ties together her life and work on No Secrets - she is at her most honest, sometimes defiant, but with a wit and wisdom that comes from her rich and turbulent life.

Spy is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's ninth album, and eighth studio album, released in 1979. It is also her last album for Elektra Records. The title of the album is a tribute to Anaïs Nin, whose quote I am an international spy in the house of love, is written across the top on the inside jacket. Simon dedicated the album to producer Arif Mardin, in which she wrote in the liner notes, "Dedicated to Arif who is himself fantastic.
