KRS-One - Return Of The Boom Bap mp3 album
Return of the Boom Bap is KRS-One's first official solo album, released in 1993 on the Jive Records label. It peaked on the Billboard 200 charts at position 37 on October 16, 1993. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. The record was originally rated 4 mics in The Source in 1993. According to KRS One the album has sold over 300,000 copies.
KRS-One adopted a more traditional approach to album-making on his first solo album. By enlisting the talents of several of New York’s most respected hip-hop producers-including Showbiz, Kid Capri, and most prominently, DJ Premier, who produced about half the album-KRS was suddenly an integral member of a rap establishment that he had spent years antagonizing
Despite a ghetto KRS-One using headphones as a mic on the cover photo, the album’s mixing and mastering sounds slicker and smoother than usual, but, other than that, it’s not much different than the other albums. He’s still a rapper with a thing for reggae who’s main objection is to uplift the black, or brown, race. A Brown Skin Woman, as far as he’s concerned, is a queen and not a hoe; though, hypocritically enough, he refers to one as just that two songs later. He compares Da Police to the overseers of slave plantations .
In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source’s 100 Best Rap Albums. Return of the Boom Bap Q&A.

Music video by KRS-One performing Return of the Boom Bap. (C) 1994 Zomba Recording LLC. Show more. I remember seeing this on Rap City on BET because the video itself has the medley of KRS' tracks from his Return of The Boom Bap album as a 'promotional' music video in general. KRS-One was in his real finest moments in his career. He was still on Jive Records back then until 1997's I Got Next album. Today, Jive Records label is not defunct or I say "out of business" since October 2011. 7 months ago. Boom bap original rap!! The Teacher has spoken. KRS's delivery was clear and so on point.
