The Jets love raucous rockabilly, and when they're not putting the pedal to the metal on the self-penned Surfari-flavored instrumental "Crow's Feet" or the Gene Vincent-inspired "Whoa Blue Baby," they're tearing up songs by Carl Perkins ("So Long I'm Gone") and Bo Diddley ("Pretty Thing"). Romweber's voice ripples with emotion, and while he stutters like Elvis on "Night All Day" and sounds as suave as Chuck Berry on the samba-ish "Grave Robber," he shines most brilliantly on ballads.
