Shooting Star - Best Of...V2 mp3 album

The album Shooting Star was released in January 1980, and the band embarked on a national tour opening for Robin Trower and Triumph. With their debut the band gained popularity with the songs "You Got What I Need," "Tonight," "Bring It On" and "Last Chance. Wild In the Streets", a B-side release, was a staple of live show encores; the song was eventually released on CD as a bonus track. With the success of The Best Of and fans' desire for new material, Shooting Star was offered a new recording contract with Enigma Records. Returning to the group were original members Ron Verlin, Van McLain and Steve Thomas. The other members were Dennis Laffoon on keyboards and vocalist Keith Mitchell.

Best of Shooting Star (aka Touch Me Tonight) is a compilation by American Rock band Shooting Star. The album predominantly consists of songs taken from the band's first four studio albums, all of which charted on the 'Billboard Top Album' chart at the time of their release; along with two songs ("Christmas Together" and "Touch Me Tonight") which had never before featured on a Shooting Star album prior to the release of Best of Shooting Star.

This speaks volumes about the lack of respect Shooting Star got in what should have been their heyday. Again, a decent song, but nothing special. 16 people found this helpful. But then are "Flesh And Blood" and the lamentable lament "Hollywood" to send you back towards dreamland. The rest of the album and the 2 new tracks at the end are similarly hit-and-miss. I greatly like their rock-band side, and wish that they hadn't followed the rock-and-roll edict that states that every band has to play ballads to show their diversity. I use the "Next Track" button on the CD player a lot with this album.

Right out of the gate on this self-titled inaugural, Shooting Star brings on the schmaltz but gets away with it because the tracks exhibit so much heart. Most of these well-aimed cuts concern surviving and prospering. Expert musicianship propels this Kansas City sextet through the general rock heartland on a holy crusade. No one else could have made "Just Friends" so poignant yet positive. Tonight" is most excellent, the violin creating a pop Kansas (but way cooler)

Hi, first of all I want to say that I took the chords from the other tab that is on the site, but I made a few changes using some videos of Elliott performing the song live. You make him sad shooting star. When it was me I was momentarily proud Drunk of dreams now I'm glad I didn't say out loud You said you'd be for real but I don't believe that you are. C/G. G. Am. So bad, so far. Fmaj7.
