Steppin' Out" (or sometimes "Stepping Out") is a blues-instrumental composition recorded by American blues musician Memphis Slim in 1959. It was released by Vee-Jay Records as a single and on Slim's At the Gate of the Horn album.

Steppin' Out is a compilation album of songs featuring Eric Clapton, released in 1981. It contains eight of the 12 tracks that appeared originally on John Mayall's Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton in 1966, plus a Mayall/Clapton single, "Lonely Years," two tracks ("Third Degree" and "Calcutta Blues") from a 1966 recording session by Champion Jack Dupree on which Clapton played guitar, and "Pretty Girls Everywhere", which is from an Otis Spann session, also featuring Clapton.

Paul Taylor, the sexy saxman of smooth/urban jazz, is back with his fifth solo recording titled Steppin' Out, his second outing on the Peak Records label. Ripe with old-school moods and pop-oriented flavors, Taylor's accompanists bring out the best of his smooth sax work on soprano and alto, his sax harmonies, and his vocoder on three tracks. Produced by Rex Rideout and Barry J. Eastmond, two of smooth/urban jazz's most acclaimed producers, the set jumps off with the radio-friendly single "On the Move," which immediately sets the tone for the remainder of the all-star.

Steppin' Out is an album by Herb Alpert, released by the record label Shout! Factory on November 19, 2013. In the United States, the album reached a peak position of number fifteen on Billboard's Jazz Albums chart, and earned Alpert a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Album at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on January 26 2014.
