Krzysztof Komeda (born Krzysztof Trzciński; 27 April 1931 – 23 April 1969) was a Polish film music composer and jazz pianist. Perhaps best known for his work in film scores, Komeda wrote the scores for Roman Polanski’s films Knife in the Water (1962), Cul-de-sac (1966), The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967), and Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

Rosemary's Baby is a 1968 American psychological horror film written and directed by Roman Polanski, based on Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin. The cast features Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer, Maurice Evans, Ralph Bellamy, Angela Dorian, Clay Tanner, and, in his feature film debut, Charles Grodin. The film chronicles the story of a pregnant woman who suspects that an evil cult wants to take her baby for use in their rituals.

As with most movie soundtracks from the 1960's, the original record sold for "Rosemary's Baby" was once-removed from the original film soundtrack. That is: official studio re-recordings of the score meant as a souvenir of the movie-going experience, decades before VHS and DVD. It was official, however, on Dot/Paramount records, and it was perfectly adequate. The other album of the Rosemary's Baby soundtrack is a reperformance while this recording contains the actual music track used for the film. Pros: -It sounds like it does in the film. Christopher Komeda's brilliant, jazzy, freaky score to Roman Polanski's 1968 hit movie "Rosemary's Baby", presented here in a ridiculous format.
