Rare American Shoes (CD, EP). Wiiija Records.
found someone new too soon Don't let him leave tomorrow In those rare American shoes You'll miss his conversation He'll miss your living room A disappointed expectation You'll be disappointed to live through It isn't easy to see him But you'll still find some excuse And you won't be forgiven You'll see those rare American. shoes You'll try to stop him leaving He'll get another chance to refuse.
Whistler - Rare American Shoes Songtext. He used to be too nice to you Now he's got nothing left to lose He's got a whole new attitude And he's got rare American shoes It isn't hard to do sorrow Or say 'I love you' We all use these words we borrow To make our version of the truth. You hoped for sweeter sorrow But he found someone new too soon Don't let him leave tomorrow In those rare American shoes You'll miss his conversation He'll miss your living room A disappointed expectation You'll be disappointed to live through
Beautiful album from a well known family. Indexed so that each page seems to have a piece of art in pen and ink done by a different member of the well know Whistler family. American Water is the third studio album by indie rock group Silver Jews. Released in 1998 as an LP and CD on Drag City (DC149) in America and Domino (WIG56) in Europe, American Water was recorded at The Rare Book Room in Brooklyn and mastered at Abbey Road Studios. The album features musicians Tim Barnes, David Berman, Mike Fellows, Stephen Malkmus, Chris Stroffolino, and artwork by Chris Kysor.
James McNeill Whistler left the United States for Europe when he was twenty-one and never returned. His most famous painting doesn't make its way across the Atlantic all that often either, which is what makes its upcoming three-month stay in Detroit so unique, Mike Householder writes in the Chicago Tribune. Arrangement in Grey and Black, No. 1: Portrait of the Painter's Mother, 1871, better known as Whistler's Mother, has only visited the United States a few times in the past half century but will be on view this spring at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
