The Gap Band - Jammin' In America / Burn Rubber On Me mp3 album

Gap Band V- Jammin' is the seventh album (contrary to the title) by The Gap Band, released in 1983 on Total Experience Records. The album was reissued on CD in 1997 by Mercury Records. In 2009 the album was remastered by PTG Records including "Party Train" (Special Dance Mix). The album reached on the Black Albums chart and on the Pop Albums chart. The album produced the singles "Party Train" ( R&B) and "Jam the Motha'" ( R&B).

Their 1983 album, Gap Band V: Jammin', went gold, but was not quite as successful as the previous works, peaking at R&B and on the Billboard 200. The single "Party Train" peaked at R&B, and the song "Jam the Motha'" peaked at R&B, but neither made it onto the Hot 100. The album's closer "Someday" (a loose cover of Donny Hathaway's "Someday We'll All Be Free") featured Stevie Wonder as a guest vocalist. The band reunited in 1996, and issued The Gap Band: Live and Well, a live greatest hits album. On August 26, 2005, The Gap Band was honored as a BMI Icon at the 57th annual BMI Urban Awards. The honor is given to a creator who has been "a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers". Oops Up Side Your Head". Burn Rubber on Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)". Yearning for Your Love". Early in the Morning".
