Swiss based hip hop scientist Mattr. and the Hawaii based Motion Recordings crew around the rappers The Mole, Terms None, Demune and ancient mith have teamed up to create an album that demonstrates another chapter in de Hip Hop composition. s gloomy beatz range from psychotic hip hop rhythms to ultra depressive atmospheric loop constructions.

Food for Thought/Take It Back is a compilation album by American post-hardcore band Gray Matter. Food for Thought/Take It Back consists of Gray Matter's remastered material that combines, in its entirety, the 1985 Food for Thought studio album and the six-song 1986 Take It Back EP; plus three bonus tracks: two previously unreleased demo recordings, and the first version of "Walk the Line", originally featured on Alive & Kicking, a various artists 7-inch EP compiled in 1985 by WGNS Recordings.

It's hard to picture which (if any) impulses were denied on this maximalist synthpop slab. By the time the yelping and propulsive Physical arrives at track four, Matter has already become exhausting. Grobler spends a good portion of the track yelling cal at the listener, a line that works in describing both his desire to move you and the degree to which it can all be tiresome. The song builds layer upon layer, creating a richness that isn’t quite depth. When the chorus hits, a vocal loop that sounds like a police siren arrives with it.

Consequence of Thoughts is an eclectic collection of tracks with varying atmospheres and tempos. They do a good job of accommodating the the various mood swings that stoners experience. The first track, Smokes Of Doom, serves as a token of toking. I really dig this album. The only improvement that I would like to hear, would be the addition of more psychedlia. But these artists do a fine job of using all of the colors on their pallette sparingly, to create an interesting variety of music. Mole, Terms None, Ancient Mith, Demune, DJ Questionmark.
