Clearlight Symphony, Cyrille Verdeaux - Clearlight Symphony mp3 album
Clearlight Symphony is a progressive rock album released in 1975 on Virgin Records in the UK. It is the first in a series of albums by a project led by pianist Cyrille Verdeaux with the participation of other musicians, including in this case three members of Gong on one side, and two other French musicians, Gilbert Artman (of Lard Free and later Urban Sax) and Christian Boulé (formerly with Verdeaux in the band Babylone, and a later Steve Hillage sideman) on the other.
Clearlight Symphony" is one of the finest progressively electronic instrumental albums to emerge from the '70's. The genius of CLEARLIGHT's music rests in the hands of Cyrille Verdeaux who plays Grand Piano, Mellotron, organ and synths galore. Clearlight Symphony" is one of the richest sounding space patrols you will ever encounter. CLEARLIGHT was a project created in early 70's by French composer Cyrille Verdeaux. They were the first French band to be signed by Virgin Records or any other English label. 'Clearlight symphony'' was released in 1975 and it was a highly-ambitious record, which contained two 20 min. movements. For this work,Verdeaux was supported by a number. Clearlight Symphony (1973) it's their debut album and has 2 long one-sider tracks each one with a bit more than 20 minutes.
Clearlight (nothing to do with the 1960s Los Angeles-based psychedelic group Clear Light that recorded for Elektra and featured future actor Cliff De Young) has been essentially a Cyrille Verdeaux project, so every album had different musicians involved, although some of them appeared again. I've seen many sources that stated Clearlight Symphony was released in 1973, which isn't true, it was released in 1975. Had it been released in 1973, it would have existed on the black and white Virgin label with the ladies.

The Clearlight symphony is the first example of Cyrille Verdeaux as a composer. Richard Branson signed Clearlight, along with Tangerine Dream, Gong, Klaus Schulze, etc. as the first wave of bands on the newly formed Virgin records, hot on the heels of Mike Oldfield's worldwide success with Tubular Bells. Led by the classically trained master keyboardist, Cyrille Verdeaux chose to work with additional artists to flesh out his musical visions including guitarist Christian Boule and Gilbert Artman on drums. Virgin Records released the second Clearlight album, FOREVER BLOWING BUBBLES in 1976. Featuring an ensemble cast of stellar players the album added jazzy touches to the heady mix of Rock, classical and psychedelic sound paintings. Simultaneously, Cyrille Verdeaux composed and recorded the musical score to the film VISA DE CENSURE X by Pierre Clementi.
In 2000, CLEARLIGHT MUSIC was reborn when Verdeaux released through his own label the albums Messenger of the Son, Solar Transfusion and later Infinite Symphony. CDBaby Cyrille Verdeaux Albums. Impressionist Symphony 2014. Impressionist Symphony Teaser.
