The Roaring Twenties refers to the decade of the 1920s in Western society and Western culture. It was a period of economic prosperity with a distinctive cultural edge in the United States and Western Europe, particularly in major cities such as Berlin, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York City, Paris, and Sydney. In France, the decade was known as the "années folles" ('crazy years'), emphasizing the era's social, artistic and cultural dynamism.

The album is inexpensive, the music just marvelous. And it's potency is the high quality that makes the best pop music live forever. Here's a package from producer Jim Bedoian that is packed with songs that are still showing their staying power after 80 years. Too bad I did not have Take Two's album last year. I taught a course on bandleader Paul Whiteman and played for the class several restorations of "Whispering". But Morrow's has less noise and fuller sound than any previous restoration. It sounds like a brand-new pressing being played on original high-end equipment of the twenties. And, incidentally, no fake reverb. Take Two records are always a first class production.
