Atomic Rooster is the sixth studio album by British rock band Atomic Rooster. It was recorded when the band regrouped after breaking up for five years, and they embarked on a raw style, which was in marked contrast to that of their past few albums. In addition, its heavier sound fitted in better with the new wave of British heavy metal scene. Two tracks, "She's My Woman" and "Where's the Show?", were originally recorded by John Du Cann for his solo album, The World's Not Big Enough, in 1977.

Atomic Rooster are a British rock band, originally formed by members of the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, organist Vincent Crane and drummer Carl Palmer. Throughout their history, keyboardist Vincent Crane was the only constant member and wrote the majority of their material. Their history is defined by two periods: the early-mid-1970s and the early 1980s Atomic R. .

Their debut album, Atomic Rooster, hit number 49 in the . in June 1970, after which Graham and Palmer left the group. Crane maintained the name and recruited guitarist/singer John Cann and drummer Paul Hammond for the second album, Death Walks Behind You, which hit number 12 in the . where it featured the number 11 single "Tomorrow Night," and number 90 in the . Pete French of Cactus assisted on the third album, In Hearing Of, which featured the number-four. single "The Devil's Answer" and reached number 18 in England and number 167 in America.

The single Devil's Answer was unreleased on album during the 70s but has found a place as a bonus track on the third Rooster album "In Hearing Of". It is definitely one of the big singles from the album in 1971 and quintessential Rooster. The B Side is The Rock, a 4 and a half minute instrumental that gives Crane a chance to crank it up loud and hard and the guitars are quite angular with an odd time sig as sprinkling on the prog cake

B-Side "The Rock" sounds like the Meters doing a funky rock song. Great!
