What happens in creativity is we learn what others have accomplished and we learn to give unique expression of our own gift. If you start with one person you isolate the others. You won’t have a corporate anointing without an agreement. When you come into the presence of the Lord, all agendas have to be put aside. Music bypasses all the intellectual barriers and when the anointing of God is on a song, people will begin to believe things they wouldn’t believe through teaching. As the atmosphere changes, as encounters become more alive, suddenly we find ourselves thinking differently.
I am a fifth generation pastor on my dad’s side of the family, fourth on my mom’s. My three children are now the sixth generation of pastors. I grew up in a very good Christian home and had a fear of God, and while I never lived in out-and-out rebellion, neither was I a passionate follower of Jesus. The thought of becoming a pastor never once entered my head. In 1968 at the end of my high school years I moved from the LA area to Redding, California where my parents became the pastors of Bethel Church, and in 1970 the Holy Spirit began to move powerfully in our church community
