Cardiacs - The Seaside mp3 album

The Seaside is the third demo album from English rock group Cardiacs. The album originally featured the second recording of what would become the band's only hit single, "Is This the Life?". It is the last of the band's releases to feature keyboard r Mark Cawthra and the first to feature keyboard player William D. Drake (as well as being the only album to feature two other musicians who were briefly Cardiacs members - Graham Simmonds and Marguerite Johnson).

The album kicks off with the superb Jibber And Twitch which reminded me immediately of why I loved Cardiacs so much! There is just so much of everything mishmashed into this music that I can surely understand why the band received the RIO/Avant-Prog labeling even though they sound nothing like most other bands in this sub-category. Gena Lollabridgida starts off with an indie pop-sounding intro that originally didn't really impress me but did manage to grow on me with time.

Differs from Cardiacs - The Seaside - tracklisting on rear inlay flap is written lengthways rather than widthways. Other Versions (5 of 5) View All. Cat.

Reviews about Cardiacs - The Seaside (3):
Sound quality on the Original Edition LP is nothing short of a revelation. The previous reissues evidently had reverb added to the original mixes, which are presented here crisp, punchy and completely dry. The four tracks previously omitted do have audible tape damage (the alleged reason for their omission) but it's not distracting and fortunately no attempt has been made to "repair" it. A must-own.
Haha I love how the confetti comes out when you open the box.
I'm in love.
