The Beatles' 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band has a widely recognized album cover that depicts several dozen celebrities and other images. It was created by Jann Haworth and Peter Blake, who in 1967 won the Grammy Award for Best Album Cover, Graphic Arts for their work on it. Many people have speculated about the cover's intended meaning.
Those chosen from a collective list drawn up by John, Paul, George, Peter Blake, Jann Haworth and London art dealer Robert Fraser. Jesus and Adolf Hitler were deemed unsuitable for inclusion, while other choices, such as Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Gorcey, were removed for different reasons. Also notable by his absence is Elvis Presley, who, Paul McCartney later said, was too important and too far above the rest to even mention. Pepper album cover is also a candlestick.

Sgt Pepper for me it's a fine album, it's a fine album but I did learn to play chess on i. RINGO. Without those two HUGE tracks its a bit overated, with the exception of A Day in the Life, the best Lennon/McCartney collaboration. Even George Martin admitted leaving Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane off the album was a mistake. on the B-side of the Magical Mystery Tour LP then EMI worldwide on the first CD in the 80s. They belong on Pepper. For the benefit of mr kite, there will be a show tonight!! BlondGuy 11 Jun 2016. You can still hear the brilliance and innovation on 'Sgt. Pepper', and the songs on it are mostly excellent (I never particularly cared for George's more Hindu-influenced, sitar dominated Beatles songs, and "When I'm Sixty-Four" seems a little cutesy).
