Alfred Harth, now known as Alfred 23 Harth or A23H, is a German multimedia artist, band leader, t musician, and composer who creatively mixes genres. In 1992 Harth managed to put out a best-of album in Japan, Goebbels Heart, and in 2007 a double CD of the duo's first two LPs, in Great Britain. In 2009 Harth formed the duo Gift Fig together with composer Carl Stone by the premiere of Adler Kino 1166 – 1215 in Frankfurt/Main. In 2013 Torsten Müller (musician) and A23H toured in North West America including a performance at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

Alfred Harth: It was a long time ago! My family's background is that of a quite well-supported middle class. I was the last in the chain of six children, and there was already an influence of my older siblings listening to music on the turntable when I was about seven. My folks were quite liberal in educating me, so I could do lots of things in the garden like building little huts and things, and this inspired me a lot. Actually, I wanted to be an architect when I grew up, so the next step was to study and in the meantime I picked up a little bit of flute and the wish came up to play the.
