7. –Steve & Eydie. That's What Friends Are For. Written-By – B. Bacharach, C. B. Sager.
Steve and Eydie is the name of an American pop vocal duet, consisting of Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé. They were a husband and wife team from their wedding in 1957 until Eydie's death in 2013. Both have also had separate careers as solo singers. The performer name on their duet releases was denoted as "Steve and Eydie", without the last names.
She sang solo and with her husband, Steve Lawrence, on albums, television, Broadway, and in Las Vegas. Eydie was a first cousin to renowned anist Neil Sedaka. Gormé was born in the Bronx to Sephardic Jewish parents. Her father was born in Sicily, her mother in Turkey
Outside the duo Steve and Eydie, they both enjoyed successful solo careers. Gorme reached No 10 in Britain in 1962 with Yes, My Darling Daughter, and had a US top 10 hit the following year with Blame It on the Bossa Nova. The latter earned her a Grammy nomination for best female vocal performance and became something of a trademark song. Eydie Gorme and Steve Lawrence perform at the Sahara hotel, Las Vegas, in 1961. Henceforth Gorme and Lawrence recorded infrequently, though in 1990 they released the album Alone Together on their own label, GL Music, which also began reissuing their back catalogue on CD. They were embraced by another generation when they covered Black Hole Sun, by the rock band Soundgarden, for the compilation album Lounge-A-Palooza (1997).

Steve is an original stylist, points out Dan Morgenstern, director of the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers. He’s one of the finest pianists out there today. Jazziz magazine described Kuhn’s distinctive sound: Few other pianists, regardless of genre, can tease such an evocative range of timbres from their instrument.
