Maureen O'Hara - Christine Original Broadway Cast mp3 album

Christine, which opened on Broadway on April 28, 1960, making it the final musical of the 1959-1960 season, was a show that employed proven talents, but talents who either hadn't been on Broadway lately or were untested in musical theater. Co-librettist Pearl S. Buck was a certified Great Writer, but she had never tried her hand at theater, much less writing the book for a show. Maureen O'Hara was a successful film actress, but she had never appeared on the American stage, much less sung on it.

Maureen O'Hara (born Maureen FitzSimons; 17 August 1920 – 24 October 2015) was an Irish actress and singer. O'Hara was a famous redhead who was known for playing fiercely passionate but sensible heroines, often in westerns and adventure films. On numerous occasions, she worked with director John Ford and longtime friend John Wayne. her assignment with so much relish that the rest of the cast, even the Indians, are completely subdued. She received first billing above co-star Macdonald Carey. O'Hara then appeared as Countess D'Arneau opposite John Payne in Tripoli, directed by O'Hara's second husband, William Houston Price. In 1960, O'Hara starred on Broadway in the musical Christine which ran for 12 performances.

Dreamgirls: Original Broadway Cast Album. Dreamgirls: Original Broadway Cast Album is the cast album for the original Broadway production of the musical Dreamgirls, which debuted at the Imperial Theatre on December 20, 1981. The album was issued by David Geffen, a co-financier of the musical and later producer of its 2006 film adaptation, on his Geffen Records label during the winter of 1982

I have the Broadway Cast of this and the New Broadway cast. Both are very good recordings of an excellent show but this London Cast is perfection. The female lead is performed by Jill O'Hara, whose strangely squeaky voice charmed at times, but seemed to fail her in a few spots. Most people are familiar with Dionne Warwick's version, which is nice, but this one is way better. Jerry and Jill play off each other well, but his vocal inflection and harmonizing are unreal.
