Ebop - The Sun mp3 album

Beneath the bebop moon I want to croon with you Beneath the Mambo Sun I got to be the one with you. My life's a shadowless horse If I can't get across to you In the alligator rain My heart's all pain for you. Girl you're good And I've got wild knees for you On a mountain range I'm Dr. Strange for you. Upon a savage lake Make no mistake I love you I got a powder-keg leg And my wig's all pooed for yo. The first song off of T. Rex’s groundbreaking 1971 album Electric Warrior, Mambo Sun exemplifies T. Rex’s shift from folk to glam rock. The lyrics use metaphor to convey sexual yearning. The seductive effect is underscored by Bolan’s throaty vocals and pulsating guitar riff. The theme of sexual yearning is prevalent throughout Electric Warrior, especially on the hit singles Get It On (Bang a Gong) and Jeepster.

Smooth jazz guitarist Chuck Loeb expands his characteristically mellow sound to include funk, dance, and various other electronic rhythms on eBop. While not as exploratory or funky as one might have hoped, it does evince an organic creativity uncommon to most smooth jazz releases. Loeb is a talented musician often calling to mind the work of George Benson and Wes Montgomery, and his playing is impressive here. Similarly, such stellar guest artists as post-bop tenor saxophonist Chris Potter and trumpeter Randy Brecker help propel the somewhat average programmed groove tracks beyond the norm

The Cowboy Bebop anime series was accompanied by a number of soundtrack albums composed by Yoko Kanno and Seatbelts, a diverse band Kanno formed to create the music for the series, with a principal focus in jazz. The recordings were an international effort with many notable names attached, including that of recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder. The soundtrack was released in the American market by Victor Entertainment, a subsidiary of JVC Kenwood.

Anthologie 1 (Bye Bye Blues) (Live). His beret and horn-rimmed spectacles, his scat singing, his bent horn, pouched cheeks and his light-hearted personality were essential in popularizing bebop. John Birks "Dizzy" Gillespie (October 21, 1917 – January 6, 1993) was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, composer and occasional singer.
