The Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album was awarded from 1983 to 2011 and from 2017 onwards. Until 1992 the award was known as Best Traditional Blues Performance and was twice awarded to individual tracks rather than albums. The award was discontinued after the 2011 Grammy season in a major overhaul of Grammy categories. From 2012 onwards, the category was merged with the Best Contemporary Blues Album category to form the new Best Blues Album category.

Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues: A Musical Journey is a 2003 box set released on Hip-O Records. It is the soundtrack to the Martin Scorsese PBS documentary series The Blues. The box set attempts to present a history of the blues from the dawning of recorded music to the present day. It offers a survey of many different blues subgenres and tangential music styles, as well as a survey of almost all the most notable blues performers over time.
Known as ‘The Beano Album’, this opened up the Blues to a new young audience on both sides of the Atlantic. Eric Clapton had left the Yardbirds because he thought they were going ‘commercial’ and this album, recorded with John Mayall’s superb band, is a powerful statement of his intent. This album is a sublime example of modern Blues-Rock, with a combination of slow, soulful Blues, 'film-noire' soundtracks and good-time boogie numbers. On his ninth studio album, Joe Bonamassa 's increasing confidence as a writer, as heard on 'Black Lung Heartache', 'Slow Train' and the title track, allows his songs to touch a nerve in the collective memory, like the best Blues should.
Produced by Tim Pagnotta. Album Kids In The Night. She said that I'm a poser but She don't know my style I passed out in the bathroom It got so wild I'm over my head and I said Nothing goes my way-ay-ay-ay-ay Goes my way-ay-ay-ay-ay Nothing goes my (way!). She said that I'm a poser but She don't know my style I broke my middle finger But I blacked out So I can't show you how I feel now So I can't show you how I feel I feel just like a piece of shit (nothing goes my way) Strung up on the heat.

On their latest album, Fishing Blues, Atmosphere make rap just for the sake of making it. This thing has no function or utility. Atmosphere albums haven’t been interesting (or necessary) for a few years. Fishing Blues has no stakes-with or without this record, the Atmosphere legacy is cemented-and the sloppy writing, disinterested rapping, and overall conservative artistic decisions seem to reflect that. Some of the lines are bad ( We on a spaceship, crash land from above/We on a lazy river, fly fishing for love from A Long Hello ) and a lot are lazy ( She was encyclopedia thick and attitude of a hot bowl of cat food from No Biggie ).
