Gang of Four, prag VEC, The Raincoats, Kleenex, The Pop Group and more. This show was 2nd in the global post-punk chart. Last week saw the release of a lost album from 1995 by Officer!, which, although not technically 'post-punk' does inhabit some of the same terrain including dubby basslines, skronk interludes, wilful experimentalism and very playful songwriting. Inspired by the album the Daily Show plays an hour of classic late '70s UK post-punk including The Slits, Public Image Ltd, The Fall, Wire, The Homosexuals, Kleenex, The Raincoats, prag VEC, Swell Maps and Joy Division - plus a couple of tracks from the Officer! album so you can compare and contrast.

During their short existence, they also recorded a total of 3 sessions for the John Peel programme.
