Balthazar is a Belgian indie pop and rock group. The band consists of Maarten Devoldere, Jinte Deprez, Simon Casier, Michiel Balcaen and Tijs Delbeke. The band members come from the areas of Kortrijk and Ghent. The group started in the second half of the year 2004. In the spring of 2005, Devoldere, Vanneste and Deprez (aged 18 at the time) won the national Kunstbende competition for young people with the song Lost and Found

Inverness Royal Academy is a mixed, mainstream, secondary school in the Highland area of Scotland. It caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has approximately 998 pupils enrolled. It opened its new, modern, school building in 2016. Inverness Royal Academy began as a grammar school and its history dates back as far as the 13th century – it was founded in 1792. In 2010 Balthazar released their debut album Applause produced by Delvodere and Deprez. Peaking at number 13 in the Belgian album charts, it garnered critical acclaim with fans and critics praising their unique and fresh sound. Later that year the band received a Music Industry Award for ‘Best Album of 2010’. The album featured the popular singles Hunger at the Door, I’ll Stay Here and The Boatman. Touring the album live allowed Balthazar the full capability to create unforgettable live performances as they continued captivating audiences with their enchanting sounds. In a short amount of time, Balthazar have risen in the ranks as a band to watch out for following their performances at some of the most iconic indie and alternative festivals across Europe such as: Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop and Lowlands.
